ELECTRIC CASTLE
Electric Castle is a beloved music festival, taking place every year on the lands of the 15th century Banffy Castle, near Cluj-Napoca in Transylvania.
Attended by over forty thousand people, the festival initially focused mostly on music and bespoke activations.
We were brought in to develop the “New Media Castle”, a takeover of the storied castle with new media art installations from leading artists from the field. I
n its two year span, the New Media Castle brought artists such as Playmodes, Memo Akten, Robert Henke, 404.Zero, Children of the Light and many more to an audience who were often discovering this type of work for the first time.
